Heesen Announces Sale of Superyacht Project Sparta: Dutch manufacturer Heesen has announced its third sale of 2019, a 67-meter superyacht called Project Sparta. The vessel will be built at the Dutch shipyard with exteriors and interiors by Winch Design. The new sale brings Heesen’s orderbook to an impressive 13 superyachts. First revealed as Project Avanti at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show, the superyacht is set for delivery in 2023.
Heesen executives noted that the yacht’s dynamic architecture captured the attention of the client, who is a seasoned charterer. Project Sparta features a sheer line that connects a strong bow to the transom, a stepped after deck area along with the five-meter infinity pool. Winch Design incorporated a raised pilothouse to give her a sporty profile. The superyacht will be able to reach a top speed of 16 knots thanks to her efficient FDHF devised by Van Oossanen Naval Architects.
Project Sparta has an interior volume of 1,200 GT and accommodates guests across four guest suites on the main deck. The two forward cabins may be transformed into a luxury full-beam VIP suite via a sliding partition. The entire bridge deck has been reportedly reserved for the owner and includes two suites, one located forward with a private outdoor lounge area and the other facing aft with access to the private terrace with outdoor dining and lounging.
Other features include a full-beam main deck saloon and an indoor dining area that connects to the aft deck terrace, protected on both sides to optimize comfort both at anchor and when cruising. A glass elevator located in an off-center spiral staircase connects all three decks. A crew of 15, plus a nanny, will look after guests.
On the lower deck, a walk-in wellness area features an oval Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gymnasium. Additionally, a Jacuzzi with bar and sun pads provides the focal point of the sundeck.
